Toddlers: 12 Months – Two Years

The toddler years are very busy as children are learning how to run, jump, climb, and explore. At this age, children want to be as independent as possible. At Carolina Academy we encourage that by letting the children take the lead. With our “Exploring and Discovering” curriculum we are able to foster their natural desire to learn as they discover new things. Each day we provide our toddlers with large group and small group activities, story time, math, literacy, science, outdoor play, gym play, music, and much more. We provide age appropriate lessons and materials to keep our toddlers learning, engaged, and safe. Along with our “Exploring and Discovering” curriculum we use the “Learn Everyday” curriculum to align with the South Carolina State Standards of Early Care and Education. The teachers in these classrooms are very hands-on and interactive helping the children be as successful as possible.
